Interior Decorating Services for a Single Family Home
Abode Interiors created a cozy, stylish and functional home for a family of three.
The Client Requests
After completing the purchase of their new home, our client wanted a full
overhaul of their furnishings and decor. The home served many functions for
this young family and needed to be comfortable for kids and babies while still
keeping a well-styled aesthetic.
Our client had great taste and enjoyed transitional design with an organic,
modern feel. The clients appreciated a neutral color palette and wanted to keep
neutral tones throughout the space.
Abode Interiors assisted with full furnishings, new flooring and paint, as
well as the design and install of a custom breakfast nook seating space.
The Living Room
This space acted as the hub of the house, so it required ample seating and
cozy corners.
We started with fresh paint throughout in Benjamin Moore Simply White.
Keeping in the neutral theme, a nickel grey microfiber sectional was the star
of the room. To ensure the family had ample seating, a white bench with cozy
throw pillows and beautiful, tan leather accent chair accompanied the couch. We
also added two petite stools that could be moved around when the family had
more guests over for company.
The Formal Living Room
The Formal Living space is the first room guests see upon entering the home.
Our client requested to keep this space formal and play into the beautiful
pool and lakeside views the room boasted.
We procured pairs of white slipcover couches - keeping in the neutral theme.
We knew that the slipcover was a great option for a growing family with
children. As a nice contrast to the white, a black, drum coffee table was
added.
To bring visual interest and dimension to the tall ceilings, a gallery art
wall was designed with abstract and landscape art in complimentary colors.
The space was finished off with a beige jute rug to bring in some warmth
along with cozy throw pillows.
